Dr. Alyson graduated from UCLA with a BS in 1982 and from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry with a DDS in 1985. Dr. Alyson is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Past President of the Harbor Dental Society. Dr. Alyson will be inducted into the American College of Dentists at the American Dental Association Convention in October, 2011. This honor is recognition of her contributions, leadership and fine example of a professional person.
Dr. Alyson is an active member of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Women’s Council. Since 2003, one of her passions has been National Charity League (NCL), a mother/daughter philanthropic organization that supports approximately 20 local philanthropies. She served as the President of NCL in 2008 and is currently involved in two of the sustainer groups.
When Dr. Alyson is not practicing dentistry she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is married to John Zahn and has two children Kelli (age 20) and Eddie (18). As a family they enjoy traveling, skiing/snowboarding and landsailing.
