Dr. Doug graduated from Carroll College with a BA in 1982 and from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry with a DDS in 1985. He is also a member of the ADA, CDA and Harbor Dental Society which he has served as editor of the Journal many times over the years and as the Treasurer of the Harbor Dental Society Foundation for over twenty years. In 2001 Dr. Doug completed advanced training in Anterior Aesthetic Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Check out Dr. Alyson’s beautiful smile that he created for her!
Dr. Doug is also active in the community and his primary passion is the Long Beach Rotary Club. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest honor awarded by Rotary. He serves on the golf committee and recently participated in Camp Enterprise where Rotarians took local high school students on a retreat to help them learn business and leadership skills.
Dr. Doug also enjoys time with family and friends as well as playing golf at Seacliff Country Club where he has been a member for many years. He is married to Elizabeth Emery and has three children; Kelli, Eddie and Billy (age 12). The Emery family enjoys travel as well and has been to Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.
