Dental Products and Appliances in Hot or Cold Cars

Plastic, such as a water bottle, contains low levels of Bisphenol A (BPA). It is safe in normal temperatures but can become dangerous if exposed to extreme temperature variations. Dental appliances made of acrylic don’t have BPA but some like occlusal guards or retainers can change in fit and shape when also exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations. As far as dental products exposed to temperature variations items like toothpaste may separate ingredients which can provide a breeding ground for bacterial growth when exposed with your toothbrush.

We are happy to announce that we are now reopen, however, with a limited schedule to allow for the many changes needed to ensure our patient's safety. We will be seeing less patients daily to allow for social distancing, and time has been added onto each appointment to allow time for proper sterilization and disinfection between patients. Sue & Adrienne are in the process of calling all of our patients to reschedule your cleaning appointment. If you have an immediate dental need please call our office to make an appointment. Be assured we have implemented all of the necessary protocols to keep you safe during your dental visit. We look forward to seeing you soon!Click Here to See Our New Office Protocol
