Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control practices are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We follow the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidelines to make sure that our infection control procedures are current.
When it is time for your next visit to our office you will notice some changes that we have made to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will also be asked some additional questions when you arrive at our office.
- We have hand sanitizer we will ask you to use upon entering our office; we will also take your temperature.
- Our reception area will no longer offer magazines and we have had to remove our toy box (so sad), but these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients and spaced accordingly to allow adequate time for appropriate disinfection and sterilization and reducing the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We are in the process of slowly re-opening and with all the new protocols we must make several changes to how we schedule appointments to ensure your safety. For this reason, we will need to reschedule all previously scheduled dental appointments. If you have missed an appointment due to the pandemic or have an appointment scheduled in the future, we will be calling you. We appreciate your patience during this time and promise to do everything we can to take care of your dental needs.
We really look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you safe in our office. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
